One third of the 40% written examination in A-Level Drama is the students creating their own Director’s concept for the Sophocles play text, Antigone. 

For this part of the examination, the students need to have considered all production elements for a modern performance of the Greek play text and how they can make it relevant to a current audience. 

To make their concepts more relatable, the students all created their own ‘set box’ for their director’s concept and gave a presentation on what they are trying to achieve (in the same way a professional director would need to do to secure funding for a production).  We wanted to share with you some of their fantastically creative designs!
