GRADUATE INTERN TEACHING ASSISTANT

35 hours per week term time only 8.15am - 4.15pm (a one-hour unpaid break is incorporated in the hours.) Salary scale H2, at £28,617 pa which pro rata is £23,795.04.    

Required for a September start, an enthusiastic and committed person to support and work with students within and outside of the classroom. It is essential that applicants hold a degree qualification or equivalent. 

The successful candidate will support students both in the mainstream classroom and also in a 1:1 capacity. The successful candidate will also be expected to lead small group sessions within the core subject areas of Maths and English. An interest in working with students with a wide range of special educational needs including emotional, social and mental health needs is essential, together with an interest in supporting second language learners.  A caring, flexible and common sense approach is important.

This post is ideal for recent graduates who may be considering embarking on a career in teaching, health or social care, as you will have the opportunity to work with young people with a range of needs and benefit from the considerable experience of our Inclusion Faculty colleagues. Excellent CPD opportunities are available in our highly regarded Inclusion Faculty and many of our Interns move on to successful teaching careers or other professional careers working with children and young people.

6th FORM STUDY SUPERVISOR

13.5 hours per week, 39 weeks per year, term time only. Scale H3 (£29,436), which pro rata is £9,440.13.  The hours of work will be Wednesday - Friday 8.30am – 1.00pm, however there is some flexibility around the working hours and job shares will be considered.

We are looking for a 6th Form Study Supervisor to join our warm and friendly 6th Form Team in September 2026. No previous experience of working in a school is necessary but applicants must have an interest in working with and supporting our 6th Form students as they navigate what is a challenging period in their academic careers. 

Reporting into the 6th Form Operations Manager, this is an exciting opportunity to join our small team of Study Supervisors who work closely with the students during their study periods and will involve delivering workshops, mentoring students, giving guidance to students on effective study habits, ensuring high standards of behaviour are maintained and supporting particular students with specific needs. You will play a key part in managing an environment that helps students develop their independent study skills and become happy, healthy and effective learners. You will also assist with the management of 6th Form attendance as well as providing regular administrative support to your line manager and the wider 6th Form Team.

The 6th Form population is large with 400 students on roll and external visitors are frequently compelled to comment on the delightful manners and positivity of the students that they encounter.
