GRADUATE INTERN TEACHING ASSISTANT
35 hours per week term time only 8.15am - 4.15pm (a one-hour unpaid break is incorporated in the hours.) Salary scale H2, at £28,617 pa which pro rata is £23,795.04. .
Required for an immediate start, an enthusiastic and committed person to support and work with students within and outside of the classroom. It is essential that applicants hold a degree qualification or equivalent.
The successful candidate will support students both in the mainstream classroom and also in a 1:1 capacity. The successful candidate will also be expected to lead small group sessions within the core subject areas of Maths and English. An interest in working with students with a wide range of special educational needs including emotional, social and mental health needs is essential, together with an interest in supporting second language learners. A caring, flexible and common sense approach is important.
This post is ideal for recent graduates who may be considering embarking on a career in teaching, health or social care, as you will have the opportunity to work with young people with a range of needs and benefit from the considerable experience of our Inclusion Faculty colleagues. Excellent CPD opportunities are available in our highly regarded Inclusion Faculty and many of our Interns move on to successful teaching careers or other professional careers working with children and young people.

PERFORMING ARTS TECHNICIAN
12 hours per week term time only. Scale H2, £28,617, which is £8,158.71 pa pro rata.
Required for an immediate start for a fixed term until 31st August 2026.
We are looking for a Performing Arts Technician to provide support to the Drama Department and the Arts Faculty.
This is a key role, with the successful candidate taking a lead in supporting all students including our SEND, disadvantaged and harder to reach students. The Performing Arts Technician will assist with the scheduling and supervision of rehearsals for all extra-curricular events and Drama GCSE and A-Level examination groups. The Performing Arts Technician will also lead on stock control, processing orders, creating a conducive Performing Arts atmosphere and supporting Drama teachers behind the scenes and in the classroom to improve students’ experience and attainment.

Cover Supervisor (Maternity Cover) – Preferred Specialism Girls PE
Required for an immediate start. Full time position, part time positions will be considered, term time only. Temporary Maternity Cover contract. Scale H5, £32,070 pa which pro rata is £27,429.47pa for full time, 36 hours per week, 8.15am - 4.30pm.
You will be responsible for independently covering classes, often outside of your specialism, in the absence of the class teacher. You will also support the learning of students in your attached faculty. These abilities will be assessed at interview.
We are looking for a Cover Supervisor with a preferred specialism in Girls PE, educated to graduate level with an interest in how young people learn and enthusiasm for working in a school. Previous experience in schools is not necessary as full training is provided.
This role would be particularly suitable for someone thinking of a career in teaching. There are many and varied professional development opportunities available and previous Cover Supervisors have successfully gained places on PGCE courses and progressed to become qualified teachers.
