Voluntary Fund

Nower HIll High School has recently canvassed parental opinion on setting up a voluntary fund to contribute to projects in school to improve facilities for our students. Real term cuts over a number of years have meant that plans to improve the fabric of the school are not always met by the funding received by Government. That said, the school has been fortunate enough over the last few years, through efficient financial control, to deliver some much needed building developments, including new sports changing rooms and extending and refurbishing the dining centre.

In spite of the many improvements we have made to the school, there is more to do and it is clear that schools who are proactive in establishing voluntary funds enjoy high quality facilities. Since 75% of parents support a voluntary fund and would be willing to contribute, we have launched the Nower Hill High School Voluntary Fund.

All funds generated will be used to support whichever projects are considered most important to the school at the time, which at the moment would be to build a new Drama theatre and to re-model the Gristwood centre to improve our Music facilities. This would allow us to decommission the current almost 50 year old music hut, which houses our peripatetic lessons and is no longer fit for purpose.

This is purely voluntary contribution which you can opt in or out of as you wish; it is not a requirement to give a monthly/termly amount as in some schools.

To set up a regular contribution

To set up regular monthly contributions: you will be able to set this up with your bank or on your banking app as a standing order using the following details:

Please use the full name and Form of your youngest child who attends the School as a reference.

To set up a parent pay contribution

You can make a one off or multiple adhoc contributions by using your regular Parent Pay account and selecting the item Voluntary Fund. You will be able to set a donation amount between £10 and £1000 maximum per academic year.

Gift Aid Declaration

If you are a UK taxpayer, you can use Gift Aid to make your donations go further by completing the declaration form. If you Gift Aid your donation, Nower Hill High School will receive an extra 25p from HM Revenue and Customs for every £1 you give us. This costs the taxpayer nothing.
