We have recently been very pleased to welcome into school The Synergy Theatre group to perform a production called “He Said, She Said” to all of Year 8.

The production is based around the topic of Online Safety and Social Media and tells the story of what happens when you use social media incorrectly and share inappropriate posts. It also stresses the wider effect that these mistakes can have on peers, friends and loved ones.

After the production, the cast and writer of the play had a question and answer session with Year 8; this allowed the cast to get an idea about how much had been taken in from the play, whilst also allowing the students to ask their own questions and hear a wide range of views and past experiences.

The afternoon proved to be really impactful to both students and staff with some great feedback such as “The Q&A and speeches from the cast and writer at the end were fantastic. The cast and writer in particular were very frank and incredibly honest, which was really effective”.
