On Thursday the 29th of September our Y9, 12 and 13 Drama Students were kindly given complimentary tickets by the show’s producers to see ex-student Ammar Duffas perform as the lead role of Peter in The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe in the West-End’s Gillian Lynne Theatre.

The production was phenomenal and all our students were mesmerised by the stage effects, production values and wizardry (we are still scratching our heads as to how they achieved some of the ‘magic’).  Ammar’s performance was outstanding – and for our students, seeing an ex-Nower Hill student performing on a West-End stage was truly inspirational.

Ammar also very kindly came into school on two separate occasions since the performance to speak with our A-Level Drama students about pursuing careers in performance and also supporting them with understanding the use of design in the production, which they can relate to their A-Level studies.

We would like to thank Ammar for making this incredible opportunity a reality and hopefully in years to come, we will see some of the GCSE and A-Level Drama students who were members of the audience up on the West-End stage!
