On Friday 4^th November, the Library hosted a live virtual author event for some Year 7 students. This event was organised by the English Faculty and run by the Book Trust.

The author was Jeffrey Boakye, who talked about his books and in particular ‘Musical Truth’. He invited students to think about and consider historical events they may or may have learned about in school from the poetry of Linto Kwesi Johnson to the music of Lord Kitchener, Winifred Atwell and Stormzy.    

The session was thoroughly enjoyed by all!
