On Thursday 28^th June, Mrs Atkinson and Miss Lewis took eight Y10 and Y11 students to visit Oxford University. We attended a talk on the different aspects of studying languages and linguistics at Oxford and about the wide variety of different career paths linguists can take. We toured Hertford and St John’s Colleges and found out what life as an undergraduate at Oxford is like. We also attended a session at St John’s where students had the opportunity to talk to tutors about the subjects they planned to study. We had a really interesting day and learnt a lot about university life!
