Jack Petchey ‘Speak Out’ Challenge - Regional Final 

This week Nower Hill hosted the regional final of the Jack Petchey public speaking competition ‘Speak Out’. Last year's winner, Deserae from Year 11, hosted the event. She was confident, articulate and represented our school incredibly well. We also had three competitors from our school;  Kalyani, Ayden and Gracie. All three presented brilliantly crafted speeches and were impressive orators.  

Talented singers from the Glee choir sang two beautiful pieces to stun the audience in between the  speeches. The winning competitor was from Bentley Wood school this year, but despite not leaving with  the prize, our Year 10 students did the school proud and were congratulated by all in  the audience.  We were delighted to host such a brilliant competition and would like to  

thank the Jack Petchey Foundation and Speakers Trust for providing this  opportunity for all of Year 10 to be involved in.
