We are very excited to report that our newly expanded, refurbished dining centre and new student toilets are on track to be completed during the half term break. We will then have to move all the fixtures and fittings back in, train the catering staff in the use of the new equipment and make the area ready to welcome the students hopefully, the second week back.

My thanks to Yinka Falowo, our lovely Catering Manager, and her team who have been creative beyond belief in continuing to manage from the tiniest of kitchen facilities to meet the demand for paninis, wraps and cookies, which has prevailed in spite of pleas to bring packed lunches!

I am also very grateful to the Arts Faculty who are leading on a project to maximise the use of the area to promote the Arts, showcasing the outstanding work that our students do. It really is going to be a fantastic space and a great addition to our facilities.

Finally, my thanks to the students for their patience and for queuing politely at the limited catering outlets we have been able to operate this half term. I hope that the wait will be worthwhile and know that you will respect and look after your new facilities.
