Year 9 Future First Careers Workshops
Posted on: 12/07/2022A group of 30 Year 9 students attended a series of careers workshops in school on Monday 11th July, which were organised by Future First, an education charity that works with schools to provide relatable role models for students.
Students had the opportunity to hear from 5 former pupils of Nower Hill about the jobs they do and the skills they need to do their jobs. Students listened to and interacted with a communications manager, finance director, science researcher, product analyst and a university student who has started his own business. Participants were challenged to think about which skills they are developing in their various school subjects and to start thinking about different career pathways that could be available to them in the future.
Thank you very much to our alumni for coming back into school to help and advise our Year 9 students.
