Last week, the English Department were delighted to invite back into school the Globe Players for two fantastic Shakespeare performances in our hall; Macbeth for Year 11 and ‘What You Will’, an introduction to the Shakespeare plays for Year 7.

The marked difference between the two audiences reflected the stages in their education; Year 11’s focus and concentration and the quality of their insightful questions in the Q&A session afterwards was a sign of just how hard they are working to prepare for their forthcoming exams. In contrast, Year 7’s enthusiasm and eagerness was a joy to see and the actors, as ever, remarked on just how much they enjoy performing for our students.
