Junior Astro Challenge Competition
Posted on: 13/12/2021In the final week of November, 52 of our GCSE Astronomy students from Years 9 and 10 took part in the ‘Junior Astro Challenge Competition’, designed by the University of Oxford. They competed against 35 other schools (mostly private) and 903 other students.
This competition was specifically designed to engage and challenge students by offering them a range of astronomy associated problems to solve. We are thrilled with the fantastic results that our students achieved! All of our students were awarded either Bronze, Silver or Gold awards and our Y10 students achieved the highest number of Gold awards from students at Nower Hill so far.
Gold award winners from Year 10 were:
Vivaan Dali
Pablo Chandler-Daza
Naron Cheung
Anesh Senthilprabu
Shreya Dholakia
Olivia Roberts
Gold award winner from Year 9 was Zak.
A massive well done to all our students who did us and themselves proud!
