The English faculty are delighted that 57 of our Year 10 students took part in the prestigious Jack Petchey ‘Speak Out Challenge’ on Thursday 23rd January and Friday 24th January 2020.    

An expert debate coach from the Speakers’ Bank Organisation came into Nower Hill to lead a workshop to train our students in the essential tools for communicating confidently, effectively and with purpose.  

It was a fantastic opportunity for our students to develop their Spoken Language skills that are assessed at GCSE level.

All students who participated in the workshop are encouraged to take part in the ‘Speak Out Challenge’ competition and compete for a place in Harrow's regional final.
