On 10th July, the Careers Department organised an Apprenticeship Day for 6th Form students with the aim of increasing understanding of apprenticeships as an option after A levels or after university.  A speaker from Ask Apprenticeships held an assembly for students telling them about the variety of apprenticeships that are available to them in the future. 

After this we held an Apprenticeship Fair and our students were able to talk to employers offering apprenticeships, to current apprentices and to training providers. Employers included Bank of America Merrill Lynch, IBM, Dentons, Barclays, Civil Service and Utilities Warehouse. The Apprenticeship Fair was hailed a success by the employers who attended and our students are now very well informed about apprenticeships as post-18 options.
