6th Form Results 2026

Posted on: 13/08/2026

We are thrilled to celebrate another year of exceptional A Level and BTEC results at Nower Hill High School!

True to our vision of creating choice and possibilities for all, we have maintained consistently strong results over time, and this year is no exception. 61% of all grades were awarded at A*- B and 98.4% of all grades were awarded A*- E.

Most notably, 33.1% of grades were achieved at A*/A—a historic milestone that marks our highest-ever percentage of top grades (excluding the COVID years) since our 6th Form opened! These remarkable achievements reflect the deep commitment and ambition of our largest ever Year 13 cohort.

Beyond the headline figures, we are delighted by the bright futures and individual pathways our students are embarking upon. Early indications of our students’ next steps include places at Oxbridge, highly competitive medical degrees, prestigious music conservatoires, sought-after degree apprenticeships with global companies such as HSBC and a wide variety of courses at leading universities and specialist technical education providers.

These brilliant destinations reflect the creativity, ambition, and confidence our students have shown in shaping their own futures. By ensuring equity so that every young person can thrive, we are proud to see our students step into pathways tailored to their unique talents. Their success is the product of exceptional commitment, surrounded by the kindness and unwavering support of our staff, families, and the wider school community.

Our Headteacher, Ms Skelhorne, shared:

"Our students’ results are a testament to their talent, resilience, and ambition. At Nower Hill, we are dedicated to creating choice and possibilities for all, and seeing our largest Year 13 cohort being able to make choices today for their own futures, empowered by the educational foundation they have secured here, has been immensely rewarding. We are incredibly proud of every single student and impressed by the individual progress that so many have made.

We are deeply grateful to our dedicated staff, supportive parents, and committed governors, whose kindness and dedication to our students make these successes possible. As our students move on to such exciting and varied pathways, we wish them the absolute best in the years ahead."
