Curriculum

Nower Hill 6th Form currently has approximately 400 students studying over 30 A-level subjects.  We work as part of the Harrow Collegiate, which offers our students access to a vast range of A-level and BTEC courses.

Most students study 4 AS levels in Year 12 and take three of these through to A2 in Year 13.

One of the advantages that a school environment can offer is the facility to provide outstanding pastoral care.  Each student is placed in a mixed Year 12/13 tutor group with a tutor who remains with them for the two years.  Year 12 students benefit from the experience and guidance given by the Year 13s.

Tracking progress is vital and we will collate and send home data on each student in every subject 4 times a year. This is to ensure students are on track for achieving their full potential and that we can provide support for those who are finding the workload, pace or content difficult. Attendance is vital in helping students achieve their full potential. If a student's attendance falls below 90% they may be asked to pay for their exam entries.

Nower Hill 6th Form is not just about academic achievement.  It is also about being part of a supportive community that helps all students achieve success; about facing new challenges and making new friends, and about developing or discovering your abilities and talents ready for the next step into University life.
